Recently, Samsung launched its new Galaxy S10 series smartphones, which reportedly will have wallet features that support Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETC) with two other tokens. These new features of the latest smartphones from the South Korean tech giant were revealed at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain on February 25, 2019.
Samsung will offer many crypto and blockchain related features through its new S10 series smartphones, which very well include support for Bitcoin, Ethereum, COSMEE token (COSM) and Enjin’s token (ENJ).
New Smartphone Features To Give Easy Crypto Access
For those who aren’t well aware of the other two cryptocurrencies; COSMEE is a blockchain based mobile beauty decentralized app (DApp) through which users can use COSM tokens. Whereas, Enjin is a cryptocurrency wallet which will be available in the new Galaxy S10.
Samsung partnered with COSMEE to feature the DApp on its newly released smartphones, while Enji can be used to access ERC-20 tokens and ERC-1155 crypto game assets.
Samsung’s announcement about the crypto and blockchain features in the Galaxy S10 smartphones comes after numerous speculations and reports in the market. In December 2018, Samsung dismissed the reports that indicated the concept of having an integrated crypto wallet, naming them as just “rumor and speculation.” In January, leaked pictures of the new smartphones hinted that the Galaxy S10 would support an Ethereum wallet.
Meanwhile, the blockchain focused smartphone, Exodus, developed by the electronic giant HTC, announced its partnership with Opera Browser and some added support for several DApps. The company is set to provide support to Etheremon and Decentralized DApps.
