Top Cryptocurrencies Gain Balance as Bitcoin’s Price Increases

The top 20 cryptocurrencies have reported small gains and losses on Sunday, March 17. Bitcoin (BTC) has climbed up just above the $4,000 mark, as per the data from CoinMarketCap. Judging by its weekly chart, the current price is around 2.4 percent higher than the price at which Bitcoin started the week.
Whereas, Ethereum (ETH) has retained its position as the biggest altcoin by market cap, which is around $14.7 billion. The second-largest altcoin Ripple (XRP), holds a market cap of about $13.1 billion.
ETH dropped by one percent in the last 24 hours. ETH was trading around $141, after starting the day at $140.5. Ethereum has faced a value increase by about three percent, as indicated in its weekly chart.
Meanwhile, the second-largest altcoin, Ripple lost over half a percent in 24 hours. Currently, it’s trading at around $0.318. Referring to the coin’s weekly chart, its current price is almost one percent higher than $0.315, the price at which it began the week.
Ripple’s developer ecosystem project, Xpring and game industry blockchain platform, Forte have recently come together to establish a $100 million fund to provide support to game developers.
Only five coins [Bitcoin SV (BSV), Monero (XMR), Iota (MIOTA), Ontology (ONT) and Nem(XEM)] have witnessed an over 1 percent transition among the top 20 cryptocurrencies.
The total market cap all cryptocurrencies is currently around $140 billion, which is about 4 percent higher than $134.3 billion.
