Blockchain News – The Government of Slovenia wants to make its country to stay at the leading position of the Blockchain Technology in the European Union(EU).

Prime Minister Miro Cerar announced that :

“The regulatory bodies and ministries are already studying Blockchain, and the state is participating in activities at European level in the area of the introduction and regulation of this technology. We are also already laying the foundations for the initial pilot testing of the technology in the state administration.” in his speech at the Digital Slovenia 2020 event which was conducted in the middle of the October 2017 and also he described that the regulatory agencies of the country and ministries have already started studying for it.”

Some other Blockchain developments in Slovenia :

The Slovenia government has launched the Blockchain Thank Tank as the part of the government on October 3.

The Think Tank will be working as a point of the contract between the Blockchain Developers, industry players and between the government a well. The different kind of education materials on Blockchain with the different companies will be coordinated by this and also it assists while drafting of the new regulation over the technology.

The Prime Minister said in his speech that the government is extending the support behind the technology. Along with these, he said that :

“Slovenia as a whole is, therefore, setting itself up as a Blockchain-friendly destination, and to that end it is establishing the pillars of a national Blockchain ecosystem in the area of the transfer and spread of information, the adoption of legal regulations and the promotion of a supportive environment for the development of companies working in the area of Blockchain technology”

At that time, the Financial Stability Board of Slovenia had warned advertising to make then aware while investing on Initial Coin Offerings.
