Golden Gate Ventures, a Singapore-based venture capital firm has announced that it is going to launch a $10 million funds to invest in cryptocurrency and blockchain startups.

LuneX Venture, the fund will be invested in startups such as cryptocurrency exchanges and security providers all around the world. The investors in the fund will be included with high-net-worth and family offices.

The fund is similar to the other ventures that invest in the cryptocurrency field and invested by large investors and financial firms. Such firms have replaced the retail investor base.

Cryptocurrency exchange Lykke recently announced that it is launching a Blockchain-focused accelerator and a venture capital ‘Spin-Off.’ The Zug, Switzerland-based Blockchain Valley Ventures (BVV) declared that it would offer a variety of services to businesses aiming to use blockchain – including capital investments, ICO, and marketing support and token development aid.

The company said it would further support businesses in implementing Lykke’s open source blockchain technology.

Mr. Oliver Bussman, a Blockchain Valley Ventures (BVV) board member, and former group chief information officer at UBS also shared his thoughts.

Meantime, Mr. Oliver Bussman told:

“BVV’s core mission is to build bridges connecting startups and investors, assisting those projects which offer real, substantive benefits to the global economy and the blockchain sector as a whole.”

The firm named its strategy for financing new business ventures the “Hybrid Model,” and described that it intends to use a combination of venture capital and proceeds raised through ICOs.
