Moscow Exchange Is Planning To Share Information About Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs)

The Moscow Exchange (MOEX) is arranging to allotment majority of the data over initial coin offerings (ICOs), CEO Alexander Afanasiev let Reuters.

The exchange at present is creating a platform to distributed token sale data, and is preparing to launch it this year, Afanasiev said. The trade won’t rundown tokens directly, but will provide portrayals for specific tokens and details about ICOs for investors.

He clarifies that:

“We’re looking upon them as we treat fiat currencies so far because cryptocurrencies don’t have a status of legally protected assets now, but if it changes we will place them in our system as well.”

The exchange might also issue futures results for ICOs, if there is a demand, Afanasiev said, including “we’re working on a possible structure of such futures now.”

That being said, Russia is wary around cryptocurrencies and blockchain regulations, for the financial powers supporting that full utilization of blockchain and the law requires agencies inclined to boycott any such activities. Now, two bills that in fundamental terminology and [oversight] standards are waiting their turn in the State Duma or the Russian parliament.

President Vladimir Putin said on a national TV program that Russia should explore the chances around blockchain and conceivably utilization it to “avoid various limitations in global finance trade.”
